Although you can use uTorrent to download torrent files without changing its default settings, you’ll get better performance if you configure the program to suit your connection.
To test your current speed and set bandwidth limits, click the Options menu, choose Setup Guide and select your nearest location from the drop-down menu.
Click ‘Run tests’ and the software will detect your speed and automatically adjust its Bandwidth Configuration settings, such as your maximum number of connections and downloads. You can also use the Network test to check your router settings and identify any problems.
